Brownsburg, INDIANA (August 6, 2018) – Jeff Rudolf advanced into the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series after an incredible weekend at the NMCA/NMRA Superbowl. After qualifying into his first field of VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mod, it is not a secret that the team has been working diligently to succeed in the world of Professional Modified. Tuner, Steven Summers accompanied by crew members, Kieffer Simpson and Kelli Ulrey proceeded to help Rudolf mark goals off of his list at Gateway Motorsports Park.
“If we get into the 70’s before the event is over, I will feel accomplished,” Rudolf said after his first pass in Q1 of 3.847 seconds at 209.20 mph. In Q2, Rudolf left before the tree was activated. After reviving his thoughts, he shined through with stellar performance of a 3.800 E.T. at 215.17 mph during Q3. The last chance to get into the quickest bump in Mid-West Pro Mod Series of 3.788 was unreachable during Q4 due to rear end issues. The team executed hustle to get the new gear in the car, for the Pro Mod Slammers class, as they wanted to reach the goal of throwing up a 3.7 number up on the time board. In the first round of the Pro Mod Slammers class, Rudolf faced Todd Martin coming up short on a hole shot loss, but produced his new career best of 3.796 seconds at 217.00 mph as the top speed of the event.“Overall, I am happy with this weekend. We reached our goal of getting into the 70’s, but there’s not much you can do when it’s the fastest Mid-West Pro Mod Series field of all time,” claimed Rudolf. He also stated, “The car is working just the way it should be and Larry Jeffers Race Cars gave me a great Pro Mod to drive.”
Rudolf and the team considers these milestones being accomplished a successful weekend, but plan to come back even stronger at every event. As these victorious strides are being marked off the list with, “Janet” they have plans to reach low 3.70’s.
The O’Reilly Auto Parts World Series of Drag Racing at Cordova International Raceway will be where you can find the Rudolf Excavating Pro Mod next.
The O’Reilly Auto Parts World Series of Drag Racing is August 24-26.
