vrdDawsonville, Georgia (March 12, 2019) – Today, Velocity Racing Development, is pleased to announce their third and final driver for the 2019 F3 Americas Powered by Honda program. Bringing experience both on and off the track, Dominic Cicero, with support from Allen Russak and the Thermal Club, joins the growing program and will be an instant threat for race wins and podium results as VRD prepares for their first wheel-to-wheel action of the season.

“It’s great to have completed our 2019 F3 line up,” explained VRD’s Daniel Mitchell. “I was lucky enough to go over and work with Dominic and the F3 Ligier at Thermal Club a while back, and after three runs and a few changes, we had soon broke the lap record on the new Hankook tires. Dominic’s experience will be a brilliant addition for the team. He’s very in tune with the car, knowledgeable and is ultra-professional.”

Cicero has a wide array of professional experiences in his pocket: not only has he been a professional racing driver, but an ambassador for many of his partners, a high level driver coach, and has represented both factory and privateer efforts on the international motorsports scene. Having lived and competed throughout Europe, Asia and North America, Dominic is a true professional on every level. Alongside his vast driving experiences and skills, the newly confirmed VRD driver has also taken on the roles of a Spokesperson and Race Engineer. With a degree from the University of Le Mans, Le Sarthe, France in marketing and communication, public speaking,race-craft and engineering, Cicero is a complete package in and out of the driver’s seat.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to race with the Velocity Racing Development team in the 2019 F3 Americas championship. The driver lineup for this year has shaped up to be a competitive one and I’m excited for what I will be able to bring to the team. I am thankful to Russak’s Cured & Smoked Products and the Thermal Club for their partnership and support,” says Cicero. “I have had the opportunity to put some fantastic laps in on the F3 Ligier, and I am confident it will be a competitive vehicle on the track. Ligier knows how to build a great racecar. I can’t say enough positive things about how great the team, drivers, sponsors and race competition will be. We are ready to represent our team and sponsors on the podium!”

Mitchell continued, “We are really looking forward to working with Dominic. As he has proven in testing, he is very fast and has the ability to help increase our cars’ performance on each and every race weekend.”

With one remaining seat available in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, Velocity Racing Development is actively looking for the right driver to fill that role. Interested parties are asked to contact VRD’s Daniel Mitchell.
