Don Schumacher Racing Decked Out in New Era Cap Apparel


DSR 18BROWNSBURG, Indiana (March 20, 2019) – NHRA trend spotters may have noticed members of Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) decked out in some fresh, new gear recently thanks to an expanded relationship with international sports and lifestyle brand, New Era Cap.

DSR is pleased to announce New Era Cap has signed on to be the official clothing partner of the winningest team in NHRA Drag Racing. DSR’s cadre of more than 100 traveling employees can be seen sporting the iconic brand when at the track competing on the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series tour.

New Era Cap expanded into NHRA Drag Racing in 2018 through a headwear partnership with DSR. Since that time, the relationship has developed into New Era Cap equipping DSR’s drivers, crew members, and front-of-the-house staff with branded polo shirts and outerwear.

“New Era is one of the most recognized names in sports and we’re thrilled to be able to align ourselves with such a prominent and revered brand,” said DSR team owner Don Schumacher. “We look forward to continuing to grow our relationship with them.”

Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) is the winningest team in NHRA Drag Racing history, having claimed more than 326 NHRA national event titles and 17 world championships since opening its doors in 1998.

Headquartered in Brownsburg, Indiana, DSR fields seven professional teams competing in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing series. In Top Fuel, the Matco Tools dragster driven by three-time world champion Antron Brown, the MOPAR/Pennzoil/Sparkling Ice dragster driven by Leah Pritchett and eight-time world champion Tony Schumacher’s machine. In Funny Car, the NAPA AUTO PARTS Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat driven by 2016 world champion Ron Capps, the Mopar Express Lane/Pennzoil/Sandvik Coromant Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat piloted by Matt Hagan, and in Terry and Doug Chandler’s ‘giving cars,’ 2012 NHRA world champion Jack Beckman in the Infinite Hero Foundation Dodge, and Tommy Johnson Jr. behind the wheel of the Make-A-Wish Dodge.

DSR also campaigns two Factory Stock Showdown entries. The duo is piloted by Pritchett, the 2018 Factory Stock Showdown Series champion, and former Pro Stock racer Mark Pawuk.
