Greg Anderson
KB Racing, Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro
Car No.: PS7

Storylines and notes:

  • Greg Anderson is tied with Top Fuel’s Tony Schumacher with eight Las Vegas wins, more than any other professional driver in any category
  • The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the home track for Las Vegas-based KB Racing team owners Ken and Judy Black
  • Greg Anderson has more round wins in Pro Stock eliminations than any other active driver. He earned his 800th Pro Stock round win in Gainesville two weeks ago.
  • Heading into Las Vegas, Anderson has participated in 1141 rounds of racing – the most of any active Pro Stock driver
  • Anderson has two wins in four final rounds in previous four-wide competition (each earned at zMAX Dragway in Charlotte)
2019 is Anderson’s 21st season as a Pro Stock driver. He began his career as a crew member and then was crew chief for championship winning driver Warren Johnson before taking the reins of his own Pro Stock car in Columbus in 1998.
  • Las Vegas-based Ken Black brought Anderson on board as a tuner, then a driver for KB Racing. They won their first race together in 2001. They have been racing together for nearly two decades and have, along with crew chief Rob Downing, built a team that now owns 151 national event wins and eight championships.
  • Anderson is a four-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion (2003-05, 2010)
  • Anderson is the most decorated Pro Stock driver on the current tour. He has 91 national event wins and is the second-most winning driver of all time in the category (W. Johnson has 97).

Quotes:
“I’m excited that my Summit Racing Chevrolet Camaro is coming along. It’s become darn near the fastest car in the class right now. We’re still learning how to race better on Sunday and close the deal, but we’ll get it. This Chevy has too much potential to waste. We took a big step in Gainesville in terms of performance, and we plan to take another step in Vegas. It’s a big race for us in many ways. It’s [team owner] Ken Black country, and it’s the DENSO Four-Wide Nationals. We’re proud to have DENSO on our Summit Racing Camaros, and we hope to give all of these great folks a reason to celebrate on Sunday.”

Quotes:
“The KB Racing shop has been busy since we left Gainesville. We want to win every race, but we really want to win Las Vegas, whether we’re racing four-wide or two, so you can bet a lot of effort went into preparing our Summit Racing Chevy Camaros. We’re excited to represent DENSO, Summit Racing, and our team owners Ken and Judy Black at their home track. We feel good going into this weekend. It’s different to race four-wide, but we like a challenge.”
