The Denver native heads to Wisconsin for the Road America 120 and will be packing the confidence of a debut IMPC podium as he heads to the fabled kettle marine area.Ben WaddellThe call up to Forty7 Motorsports follows a strong run for Waddell two weeks ago in Sebring, where he qualified fourth on the TCR class grid, raced to the TCR lead and made his way all the way to third overall before turning the car over to co-driver Alex Papadopulos to bring home a big podium result.

Waddell will make his second career race start at Road America, having claimed his first-ever Skip Barber Racing podium at the track in 2015. Preparing for the fast weekend, Waddell has been working extensively on adding to his already remarkable number of simulator laps on the 4.048-mile, 14-turn course.

Waddell will be joined by teammate Papadopulos, who will be making his first professional race start at Road America in the No. 47 Stoner Car Care Hyundai.

Confident in the Hyundai platform, Waddell looks forward to fighting for his second podium finish of the 2020 season.Ben Waddell“After a strong result at Sebring, I am very excited to take on the weekend at Road America,” said Waddell. “With our qualifying and how we were able to race at Sebring, it felt like a lot of things clicked and I gained a lot of confidence during the weekend so I’m eager to get right back to racing this weekend. Being with Forty7 Motorsports gives me confidence that we will have a good car, and my goal is to put the No. 47 Stoner Car Care Hyundai Veloster N TCR back on the podium, if not the top step.”

Waddell and the No. 47 Stoner Car Care machine will take on the Road America 120 Saturday, August 1st at 4:40 PM ET with live flag-to-flag streaming available on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.
